Hounds Around Town - Learning How
to
be a GREAT Canine Citizen in Public Places
This highly interactive program will help the pooch who has good behavior learn to be a GREAT canine citizen in public places such as pet friendly restaurants.
We will practice good dog manners on crowded streets, pet shops, vet offices, coffee shops, in stores, etc. This is the perfect transition from the classroom to the real world, where you will get to work with your dog in real-life situations but with the support of two instructors!
Canine Good Citizen - Learning How to
Behave During Everyday Encounters
Since 1989, the American Kennel Club has been rewarding dogs who are well behaved at home and in public with the Canine Good Citizen® (CGC) Certificate. While it is not a title, such as the kind you find after a prize show dog's name, it does show that the dog has basic good manners and that the dog parent is a responsible one. The test puts the dog and his or her handler in various situations that the dog can encounter in everyday life. During these scenarios, the dog's owner demonstrates that the dog is under control and is well-behaved.
